In 1715 Rembrandt’s Night Watch was moved from the Kloveniersdoelen in Amsterdam to the local Town Hall. It was cut down on three sides as it had to fit in between two doors. 
This copy shown the original composition, including the two extra figures at left.
 
This copy actually belongs to the National Gallery, London, but it is always exhibited at the Rijksmuseum next to Rembrandt’s Night Watch.
